Project Description
A series of sculptures formed from multi-species growth structures, allowing entry into the interior architecture of living things.

Made from 3D-printed and organic components, these sculptures explore the universal growth structures present in all life forms. The forms were created from microscopic photographs of animal bones and plant cells, combined using AI image generators. They were then 3D printed in biodegradable filament, connected using bone glue, and covered in resin. The organic elements became food for bacteria and fungi, which decaying the sculptures over time, returning them to what they were created from.

The short film explores our understanding of the internal spaces within and around us, using the 3-D printed sculptures as tools of navigation. Both the sculptures and the film have been brought to reality with the use of technological tools, showcasing the digital manipulation of the organic world, while also allowing a way to look outwards from within.
