Project DescriptionA  Child Forms in Time is a sculpture existing as a host body for different plant species, growing the organic materials needed to produce the ecosystem in A World Forms in Whispers. The sculpture is permanently installed in the Het Kloosterbos communal garden in the Netherlands. There is a community of volunteers who regularly care for the sculpture, and tend the plants growing on and around it. 

The structure grows and births what is needed in its twin sculpture, and they both transform along with the living organisms growing around and through them. Yet all twins are different, and where its counterpart seeks to dissolve, deconstruct, and dismantle, changing everywhere it is installed, this one seeks to grow, to nourish, to provide, staying stable in its set location.

These sculptures exist for one another, allowing our human relationships to change with the other living beings that support them, and which they support in turn.
